Zachary was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Marvin Lane and Elizabeth (Lisa) Elmore Tyner on December 21, 1992. He is a 2011 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Tuscaloosa where he was on the football, wrestling and track teams. He was a member of the University of Alabama's Early College inaugural class and attended Shelton State Community College's industrial electronics program. At the time of his death he was employed as an electrician with Bright Future Electric of Birmingham, Alabama.
Zachary is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin Junior and Dorothy Mae Teske Tyner and his maternal grandfather, James Clarence Elmore, all of Tuscaloosa.
He is survived by both parents; brother Joshua Lane Tyner, Emerson Georgia; sister Stephanie (Robbie) Stone, Fosters, Alabama; grandmother Linda Dockery Johnson, Independence, Louisiana; nieces Ella Kate Skelton and Kelcee Stone; nephews Caden Skelton, Peyton Stone, Tyner Stone and Whitt Stone; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Zachary never met a stranger, and his smile and laugh could light up even the darkest room. He cherished his family dearly and always wished he could spend more time with them. A Tuscaloosa native, Zachary was a devout Bama fan and extremely proud of where he came from. Zachary loved playing sports from a very young age, but football was by far his favorite. He was a true animal lover and brought home many stray animals over the years, several of which still reside with his parents.
Zach's family would like to sincerely thank all that have loved, supported, and been a positive impact on his life.
