Roy Watson

Roy Sherrill Watson, age 81, of Northport, Ala., passed away on February 26, 2022 at his residence. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.

He was born April 14, 1940 to the late Jonas and Mary Lene Watson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ray Watson.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 60 years, Gloria Ann Watson; daughter, Tonya Schueller (Noah), son, Scott Watson (Amanda); along with three grandchildren, Hunter Booth (Brittany), Hannah Booth and Layla Grace Watson; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Stevie Rae; his precious sister, Ms. Dean Lewis; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Active pallbearers will be Scott Watson, Noah Schueller, Keith Huffman, Hunter Booth, Billy Corkerin, Bob Burke, Donald Watson, and Becky Watson.

Honorary pallbearers are Pastor Lee Armstrong and Fellowship Temple Assembly of God Church, Eddie and Marie Smith, and Encompass Home Health and Hospice.
