Lorene Goins

Lorene B. Goins, age 79 of Tuscaloosa, passed away on September 8, 2020 at home. Services will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at 3:00 pm at Englewood Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Sessoms and Rev. James Walker officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on hour prior to service at the church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Morris Goins, parents; Grady and Ethel Bigham, and brother; David Bigham.

Survivors include her daughter; Lashonda Goins, sons; Darron Goins (Cecilia), of Largo, Florida, Dennis Goins (Leona) of Northport, sisters; Loretta Logan (Ben), Linda LaGrone, Martha Watson (Beryl), Carolyn Chism (Mike), Shelia Rice (Bill), Sharon O'Brien (Bobby), Judy Hicks (Billy), brother; Leon Bigham, grandchildren; Kelson Epperson (Dana), Hunter Goins, Taylor Dockery, Gracelynn Goins, Gabrielle Goins, Sophia Chandler, Addison Epperson.

Lorene lovingly called "Rene Rene" by her family was born on November 25, 1940 and has lived in the Taylorville Community for the past 45 years. Lorene, a devout christian was a loving mother, sister, daughter and friend. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends. Lorene was also known as an avid treasure hunter, searching out garage and estate sales for the perfect treasures, however you only had to spend a few with her to discover what she really considered her greatest treasures - Christ, her Lord and Savior, her loving family, and her Englewood Church family where she has worshiped for 45 years.

Pallbearers will be Mike Montgomery, Brad Walker, Stacy Goins, Jeremy Bigham, Mike Chism, Billy Hicks, Rodger Dockery, and Brian Dockery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vicki Dockery, Members of Englewood Baptist Church, Skyland Antique Mall, Charlotte Henderson, Journey Hospice, Lloyd Pate, Allita Brewer and Mr. and Mrs. Meggs.
