Yoko Stripling, age 75, of Northport, died June 10, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Dr. Ted Sessoms officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her godson, Hunter Watson. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Carl "Buddy" Stripling; and sister, Kyoko Moser of Oakland, Calif. She was a very devoted Christian lady who always put the Lord and others before herself. Words can't describe the passion and love she had for others. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. Pallbearers will be Wade Kizzire, Jerry Jarrell, Phillip Trull, Larry Leonard, Randy Freeman, J.C. Hall, and Jimmy Stripling. Honorary pallbearers are doctors and nursing staff of TSICU at DCH Regional Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Arbor Springs Building Fund.
