Wyndall Gilliam

Wynndall John Gilliam BERRY Wynndall John Gilliam, age 56, died at home recently in the New Lexington community. Services will be 2 p.m. today, October 18, 2013 at Campground United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Jones and Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynnwood and Reba Gilliam; a brother, Larry Lynn Gilliam; and his grandparents, John and Lura Tierce, and Lonie and Lizzie Gilliam. He is survived by his aunts, Eunice Lunceford and Evelyn Oswalt (Oliver); an uncle, John D. Tierce (Margaret); many cousins; and special friends, Mike and Holly Poole. Wynndall lived in the Samantha and New Lexington community all of his life. He attended Etteca and Gorgas Elementary School and graduated from Northside High School. He enjoyed pitching and playing little league baseball as a youngster; music and playing the guitar as an adult. He also enjoyed hanging out and discussing politics and religion with friends. Pallbearers will be Terry Oswalt, Chris Olmstead, Anthony Oswalt, Terry Bigham, Mike Poole, Winfield Tierce, John Walker III and John Harris. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
