Wilma Jean Burroughs, age 82 of Duncanville, passed away May 19, 2020, at home. A graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery on May 26, 2020 at 11:00 am.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Archie and Polly Thomas, sister; Mary O. Hendrix, brothers; Archie James Thomas, Jr., James Edward Thomas, Levi Randolph Thomas, Walter Lee Thomas, L.C. Thomas, David Lee Thomas, grandson; Joshua Earl Wittenaver.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Wayne Burroughs, daughters; Diane Wittenaver of Tuscaloosa, Patricia Corley of Mesquite, Texas, Theresa Priebe of Tuscaloosa, Wanda Dyson of Tuscaloosa, sons; Robert Corley of Brent, stepsons; Donald Burroughs of Cottondale, David Burroughs of Mississippi, brothers; William Jack Thomas of Duncanville, Howard Gordan Thomas of Cottondale, 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren.
Wilma Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Family was her whole world and she was ours. She was one of the strongest women in our lives. Wilma was well known for her love to talk and her beautiful red hair. She had a heart of gold and she was a blessing beyond measure to all who knew her.

Pallbearers will be Howard Thomas, William Thomas, David Vandenberg, Michael Allen, Mike Priebe, Gordon Thomas.
