Willie Boone Mosley NORTHPORT | Willie Boone Mosley, age 97, of Northport, died May 17, 2016, at Heritage Health Center. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Rev. John Verciglio and Rev. John Drawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Fayette City Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Wilson and Loyal Utley Boone; her brother, Charles Wyatt Boone; and her husband, Reuben Leon Mosley, Jr. Survivors include her son, James Wyatt Mosley (Joan); grandchildren, Joseph Leon Mosley and James Wyatt Mosley, Jr. (Stacey); and great-grandchildren, Joe and Jack Mosley and Kate and Sam Mosley. Willie was a retired federal government employee and longtime resident of Northport. She was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and served in many leadership roles. Over the years, she was involved in many civic organization and charities. She will be remembered for her positive outlook and giving nature and as an avid bridge player. Willie stayed active her entire life, attending Alabama football games as recently as the 2015 season. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark United Methodist Church, 1421 McFarland Boulevard, Northport, AL 35476.
