Willie Earl Fikes DUNCANVILLE Willie Earl Fikes, age 71, of Duncanville, passed away Feb. 6, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 12 noon Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church in Duncanville with Harvey Dockery and Carl Miller officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the church. Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South is in charge of arrangements. Willie Fikes was born December 21, 1941, to Curtis and Elaine Fikes in Billingsley, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Curtis and Lillian Elaine Fikes; brothers, Gary Fikes and Thomas Eugene Fikes; sister-in-law, Maybelle Fikes; sister, Gladys Faye Fikes; and grandparents, Earl and Sadie Fikes and Willie and Jessie Tindol. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ramona Bishop Fikes; son, William Earl Fikes; daughter, Tina Renea Sanders (Rickey); grandchildren, Meghan Sanders and Joshua Sanders; brothers, Jerry Fikes (Linda) and James Fikes (Betty); and sisters, Gaynell Pope (Macon) and Martha Sue Hollingsworth (Roger). Pallbearers will be Bob Colburn, Royce Colburn, Gary Fikes, Phillip Fikes, Morris Fikes, Ben Fikes, Hunter Fikes, Curtis Hollingsworth, Robert Earl Simmons, and Wayne Doss. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Bob Grubbs, Dr. Lee Thomas, Dr. Charles Gross, Dr. Ford Simpson, Dr. Garfield Ramdeen, and Dr. Dirk Berry. The family express great appreciation to DaVita, ACCU at DCH Regional Medical Center, and Hospice of West Alabama.
