William Danny Turman "Dan", of the Phillips Chapel Community, a devoted family man and a passionate preacher of the Word of God, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024. He was 76 years old.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bernice Turman; and brother, Tommy Turman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kay; their children, Tanya Winstead (David) and Craig Turman; grandchildren, Colby Sanford (Nikki), Blayne Sanford, and Sara Turman; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Maci, and Jamie; and brothers, Jimmy Turman (Jane) and Terry Turman (Betty).

His memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Phillips Chapel FWB Church with Rev. Terrell Jones, Rev. Tony Latham, Bro. Roger Lucas, and Bro. Jimmy Holliman officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) at the church.

Throughout his life, Dan's devotion to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was evident in everything he did. His love for Kay was a source of strength and inspiration; and their bond was a testament to enduring love and commitment.

In addition to his family, Dan was deeply committed to his community, his church family, and friends. His generosity knew no bounds, and he leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire others. Dan was a veteran of the United States Air Force, who served in the Vietnam War.

Dan's love for his family and his ability to touch the lives of others will forever be cherished and remembered. He loved his Savior more than anything and preached the word of God for many years. May he rest in peace.

Pallbearers will be Blayne Sanford, Colby Sanford, David Winstead, Billy Stripling, James South, Kenny Renfroe, and Russ Montgomery.

Honorary pallbearers are family and friends of the Phillips Chapel Community, Mt. Moriah FWB Association, Dr. Eugene Alldredge, and Dr. Sakina Kamal.
