William Townsend

William "Howard" Townsend, age 75, of Moundville, Ala., passed away January 13, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, at Oak Hill Cemetery with Brother Ray Hallman officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Townsend; mother, Effie Townsend; and brother, Glen Townsend. Survivors include his wife, Becky Townsend; son, Ray Townsend (Allison); sister, Judy Montgomery (Gene); brothers, Jerry Townsend and Gene Townsend (Nery); grandchildren, Emory and Abby Townsend. Pallbearers will be Michael Townsend, Josh Montgomery, Brandon Montgomery, Daniel Corley, Brad Murphy and Gary Brooks. Honorary pallbearers are neighbors and friends in the Moundville Community, Hospice of West Alabama and Dr. Larry Skelton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
