William Puckett

William Robert Puckett, age 88 of Aliceville, passed away January 23, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00p.m. at Aliceville First Baptist Church with Bro. Charlie Wilson and Bro. Larry Potts officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Sapps, Alabama. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

He is preceded in death by his wife; JoAnn Puckett, son; Bill Puckett, parents; Joel and Leona Puckett, brother; Joel Puckett, Jr., sisters; Lavenia Puckett Kite and Bettie Joe Puckett Pittman.

He is survived by his daughter; Ann Jay Harrison (Mike) of Alabaster, Alabama, grandchildren; Michael Harrison (Bethany) of Clanton, AL., Lloyd Jay Harrison of Alabaster, AL., Dylan Puckett of Ashburn, VA., Cole Puckett of Tuscaloosa, AL., and several nieces and nephews.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He had a love of hunting, fishing and cooking, he had the best 3rd generational Brunswick Stew and held a fish fry every year for the businessmen in town. He was co-owner of Jay Furniture Company and after retiring from there he worked for Spiller Furniture Company. He served in the choir and was a Deacon at Aliceville First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Charles Kite, Brad Kite, Harold Tucker, Marshall Puckett, Ken Gates, and Joey Pittman.
