William Wallace Hollyhand TUSCALOOSA William Wallace Hollyhand, age 73, of Tuscaloosa, died May 29, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Dr. Billy Joy officiating. Entombment will follow at Magnolia Chapel Mausoleum with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lessie Hollyhand; his brothers, Albert Jr. and Carl; and his sister, Patty Newton. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Bernice Porter Hollyhand; his daughter, Angela Crockett (Shane); his sons, Chris Hollyhand (Tawana) and Jason Hollyhand (Alicia); his sisters, Grace Benton and Dean Gipson; his brothers, Doug Hollyhand and Mickey Hollyhand; and seven grandchildren, Matthew Crockett, Ashley Crockett, Christopher Crockett, Patrick Hollyhand, Haley Hollyhand, Drae McKenzie, and Tad Long. Mr. Hollyhand retired from The Tuscaloosa News after 28 years of service in retail advertising. He was presently employed by Doug Hollyhand Realty. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Hollyhand Realty and Hollyhand Companies, Benton Sod Farm, past and present employees of The Tuscaloosa News, Dr. Steve Lovelady, Dr. Lopez, Dr. David Hinton, Dr. Anne Lewis, Dr. Berry, Dr. Ramdeen, Dr. Jurisch, Dr. Potts, nurses and staff of MICU and Davita Dialysis, and Kenneth Causey.
