William Hendrix

William Blanton Hendrix, age83, of Northport, died July 28, 2011, at V.A. Hospice. Services will be 11:00 am. Monday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. John Nixon officiating. Private family burial will be held with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, June Pearson Hendrix; daughters, Marilynn Hendrix Nabors (Mike), Brenda Hendrix (Tom Mill), and Leslie Hendrix Junes (Mike); son, Norman Hendrix (Margaret White); grandchildren, Claire Dees (Robert), Danny Nabors (Amy), Natalie Hendrix, Eric Jones, Ryan Skyler Jones; and great-grandchildren, Michael Dees, Jacob Dees, Luke Dees, and Lillian Dees. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Volunteer Services, V.A. Hospital Hospice Unit, 3701 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.
