TUSCALOOSA - William Benjamin Flowers, Jr., age 88, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away December 19, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Magnolia Chapel North with Rev. Melody Traylor officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson City Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Magnolia North.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ellen Irene Flowers; daughter, Janice Voss; two sons, Mike Flowers (Renee) and Tommy Flowers (Erin); grandchildren, Amy, Brad, Rustin, Will, Katie, Brayden and Charley; great-grandchildren, Easton, Emily, Kylie and Jackson.
He was a loving husband, father, and granddad. He loved woodworking. He stayed very active with all his grandkids' activities. He served his church community and country with honor. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him!
Honorary pallbearers are members of St. Luke United Methodist Church, Dr. George Miller, Hospice of West Alabama and East Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl.
