William Fife

William Fife Sr. MOUNDVILLE - William ""Harold"" Fife, Sr., age 71, of Moundville, Ala., died August 1, 2016, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2016, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Ed Boothe officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Beaver Dam Presbyterian Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his son, Harold Fife, Jr.; parents, William and Earline Fife; and father-in-law, Leroy Ragland. Survivors include his wife, Karen D. Fife of Moundville, Ala.; daughter, Elisha Whittaker (Cory) of Texas; stepdaughter, Jennifer Wyatt (Shawn); son, William Andrew Fife; stepsons, Jonathan Shirley and Michael Shirley (Tasha); sister, Sherry Cowart (Tony); mother-in-law, Lillie Ragland (Harold always kept her going); and grandchildren (all apples of Papa's eye), Stephen, Jayle, Hunter, Bradley (our Angel from God), Jayce, Makayla, Matthew and last (Little Grandma Lillian). Harold was the most unselfish man anyone could ever have known. He went without to make sure his family was taken care of. Harold was an amazing husband and best friend to his wife, Karen, for 30 years. Karen was the love of his life and would not hesitate to let anyone know that. He loved to fish and sit under his shade tree until his health took him away from it. That relaxed him more than anything. Thanksgiving was his favorite, having our combined family together. We will cherish our memories and see you in heaven. Pallbearers will be Kenny Cowart, Casey Hall, Michael Shirley, Cory Whittaker, Andrew Hedrick, Johnathan Shirley, Chris Stewart, Billy Hudgins and Mason Haywood. Honorary pallbearers are Amedisys Home Health and Hospice employees, Dr. James Geyer, Dr. Larry Skelton, Paige Robertson, Russell Weeden, all Hale County EMS Employees and all employees of County Line Grocery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Amedisys Home Health and Hospice in Harold's honor.
