William Ray Drummond, age 82 of Eutaw, Alabama passed away on December 22, 2023, at DCH Medical Center. Services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Chapel South with Jack Clary and Kenny Overstreet presiding. Burial to follow the service at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Eutaw, Alabama.
Mr. Drummond is preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Rogers Drummond of 39 years, his father, William Lee Drummond and his mother, Bertha Pearce Drummond.
Mr. Drummond is survived by his daughters; Daphne Walker (Chris) and Shea Lamb (Jay); his sister, Jeanette Jones; grandchildren, Dylan Pate (Courtney), Presley Davis (Spencer), Hunter Lamb (Madison), Mary Jordan Lamb, and Raylee Hallman; great grandchildren, Ava Leigh Pate, James Pate and expecting Bennett Ray Pate.
Ray was born on March 19, 1941 in Greene County, Alabama to Bertha and William Lee Drummond. He graduated from Greene County High School in 1959. He worked 36 years at B.F. Goodrich. Ray was known for his love and devotion to his family. He was a deacon at Beulah Baptist Church and was the song leader for many years. He wore many titles but his pride and joy was being called Daddy and PaPa. He always said have faith and trust the Lord. 2 Corinthians: 5-7.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Pate, Hunter Lamb, Spencer Davis, Dalton Bryan, Chris Walker and Jay Lamb.
Honorary pallbearers are present and former employees of B.F. Goodrich, the staff at DCH Cath Lab, CICU and Dr. Vishal Dahya, Dr. Neil Shah, employees of Tuscaloosa County Health Department and friends of the Snoddy community.
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Beulah Baptist Cemetery Fund.
