William Bambarger

William Thomas Bambarger, age 90, of Eutaw, Ala., passed away January 1, 2018 at home. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Mesopotamia Cemetery with Keith Yeager officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be at Eutaw United Methodist Church immediately after graveside service. Mr. Bambarger was preceded in death by his wife, Laura and son, Robert. Survivors include daughters, Laura Payne (Charles) and Rita Rhodes (Michael); son, William T. Bambarger (Deborah); daughter-in-law, Dorothy Bambarger; sister, Anna Yeager; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kevin, Whitney and Lila Payne, Daniel, Sherry and Kayla Bambarger, Jennifer and John Travis, Micha Rhodes, Jeremy, Lauren, Emma Caroline, and Claire Bambarger, Lashley Rhodes, Koan, Cyrus and Errol Goedman, Brandon Bambarger, Mallory, John and Aven Cramer, Alan, Deanna, Charleigh and Adaline Payne, Chase and Brook Payne, Caitlin Bambarger, Anna Lauson and Wil Pittman. Thomas retired from the United States Post Office. He was a kind and gentle man with a quick wit about him who never let a joke pass. He loved and was loved by his family and friends. Since he was a great story teller, he could capture your imagination and attention while giving you a life lesson at the same time. Whether driving his tractor, taking care of his horses and cows or collecting sea shells at the Robinson family Thanksgiving at the beach, he always wore his signature cowboy hat. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Sanders, David Sanders, Jean Browning, Ernest Clark, David Higginbotham, Nancy Oliver, Aline Williams, Brad Taylor, Kevin Jockisch, Curtis Hamilton, Jr., Bill Mayo, Alphonzo Duncan, Dr. Leonard Jones, Glynn Robinson, Benny Abrams, Mary Byrd, Jo Jones, Valerie Nixon, Leavy Burns, Peggy Colvin, Amanda Gibson and Beatrice McGee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greene County Ambulance Service.
