William Benjamin (Bennie) Adams, Jr., passed from this life in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on December 7, 2020, from complications of COVID19 at the age of 77.
Bennie is survived by his beloved wife, Fran Adams; children, William Benjamin (Benji) Adams lll (Stephanie) and Kerri McLain (Hilton); and grandchildren, Jarin, Jordan, and Jamie Jenecka, William Benjamin (Ben) Adams IV, Carson and Grace McLain.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Benjamin Adams Sr. and Thelma Nelson; and sister, Billie Lou Yates.
Bennie was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on February 20, 1943, where he graduated from H.V Cooper High School. A veteran of the United States Army, He was a master electrician, accomplished carpenter, and avid outdoorsman. One of Bennie's great passions was teaching children about wildlife conservation and imparting a deep appreciation for nature. He often hosted children from the Boy Scouts, Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, and local schools at his country place (Plum Nellie) in Sawyerville.
Bennie married the love of his life, Fran, in 1983, and continued his successful career in real estate, having become a member of the Million Dollar Club. Even so, Bennie was most devoted to being a loving and active father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be well and deeply missed.
A private memorial will be held at Plum Nellie at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, 205 South Street East, Talladega, Alabama 35160
