Waymon "Coon" Rogers NORTHPORT - Waymon ""Coon"" Rogers, age 84, died January 13, 2017 at his home. Services will be 12 noon, Monday, January 16, 2017 at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Terrell Jones and Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2017 one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nazzie Lee; parents, Martin and Mary Rogers; sisters, Bertha Maddox, Trannie Mae Skelton and Bay Gray; brothers, James Rogers, Victor Rogers and Clarence ""Claude"" Rogers. Survivors include his sisters, Dessiree Smith and Gertha Elliott; and sister-in-law, Dorothy ""Dot"" Rogers. Pallbearers will be Michael Phillips, Robert Phillips, Donnie Smith, Joe Allen Rogers and Michael Phillips. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Regina Harrell, Ashley Lauderdale, and Alacare Hospice and staff.
