Wayland Russell Sullivan NORTHPORT Wayland Russell Sullivan, age 76, of Northport, died Oct. 15, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Smith and Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ivy Sullivan; five brothers, Warden Sullivan, Clifford Sullivan, Robert Sullivan, John Sullivan, and Charles Sullivan; and two sisters, Winifred Sullivan and Lois Scholtz. Survivors include his sisters, Orene Clark of Mobile and Pauline Ballard of Northport; and his brothers, Norman Sullivan (Sarah) of Tuscaloosa and Samuel "Jack" Sullivan (Agnes) of Moores Bridge. Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers are all bluegrass pickers, Moores Bridge Hunting Club, friends and neighbors, and Rev. Terrell Jones. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tabernacle Cemetery Fund.
