Voncile "Pinky" Robertson MOUNDVILLE | Voncile "Pinky" Robertson, age 68, of Moundville, died Friday, February 20, 2015, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Chuck Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Robertson; parents; one sister and two brothers. Survivors include her daughters, Denna Beckham and Deron Hallman (Jeff); sisters, Betty Jean Pounders and Charlotte Thompson; brother, Ray Melton (Lynn); grandchildren, Stacy Taylor (Josh), Michael Moore (Tessa), Callie Beckham-Vogeler (Drew) and Tyler Hallman; and great-grandchildren, Michael Moore, Harrison Taylor and Bryson Moore. Pinky never met a stranger - "I could talk to anyone." She was a self-taught guitar player. She used to sing in church and loved it. Pinky tried to teach her children and grandchildren about the things in life that would make them a better person. She always said, "Be kind to everyone you meet, set your standards in life "hight". Pinky prayed every day because God will hear prayers. She was always helping in any kind of need. Pinky was very proud of her accomplishment at age 33 - earning her GED. Pallbearers will be Wally Moore, Josh Taylor, Jeff Hallman, Chris Epperson, Drew Vogeler and Ricky Wyatt. Honorary pallbearers are Amedysis Hospice and Dr. Larry Skelton.
