Vivian Ruth Ashcraft Lowe "Aunt Vivian" went home to be with the Lord on Friday November 29, 2024, where she is reunited with her husband Berle, as well as her parents and siblings.
Born May 10, 1934 in Pickens County, Alabama, Vivian was the youngest daughter of Charley and Rhoda Junkin Ashcraft of New Hope, Mississippi, which is where the family called home. Vivian lived a normal and quite hysterical life in her younger years, which was verified several times over by the stories shared by her and her siblings through the years. She graduated from New Hope High School in 1952 as the class Salutatorian and married Berle Lowe in 1952. The newlyweds moved to Tuscaloosa in 1954, where they resided for the remainder of their lives. When Aunt Vivian and her 5 siblings were together in the same room, a tv was not needed for entertainment. The six of them telling and debating the accuracy of childhood stories told would leave everyone needing tylenol for sore ribs the next morning.
There has never been a finer example of love for family displayed than the love that was shared by this generation of the Ashcraft Family. The memories are now more precious than ever.
Aunt Vivian is preceded in death by her husband Berle Odean Lowe, her parents Charley and Rhoda Junkin Ashcraft, and her siblings, Holly Mac Ashcraft, Mary Jo Ashcraft Hays, Samuel Wesley Ashcraft, Rayburn Doyle Ashcraft, and Charles Richard Ashcraft.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
