Vicki Whelchel

NORTHPORT - Vicki Lynn Whelchel, age 59, of Northport, Alabama, died January 14, 2019, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Kenneth Banks officiating. Burial will take place in Auburn, Alabama with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing.

Survivors include her husband, Elvin R. Whelchel of Northport, Alabama; daughter, Lindsey D. Mendez (Donnelly) of Arlington, Texas and husband, Christopher Mendez; son, Trenton Donnelly of Northport, Alabama; brother, Douglas G. Watson and wife, Danne Watson of Auburn, Alabama; and parents, Harold and Carolin Watson.

Born on January 25th in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Vicki spent most of her life in Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Industrial Management. She was an accountant at Pate Companies for 10 years. Vicki loved her family, dogs, cats, and being around loved ones. She enjoyed the beach and visiting various state parks.
