Unice R. Davis MOUNDVILLE - Unice R. Davis, age 92, of Moundville, died August 7, 2016, at the V. A. Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Rev. Jason Duckett and V. A. Chaplain officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South is directing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Beckham Davis; his parents; five brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Jones (Frank) of Williamsburg, Va. and Rosa Beck (Robert) of Tuscaloosa; many nieces, nephews, church family, friends and his canine companion "Buddy". Unice lived his entire life in the Moundville community. He was a member and deacon of Moundville Baptist Church. He was a member of Moundville Masonic Lodge for 64 years. Eunice served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from B. F. Goodrich with 40 years of service. Fishing was his favorite sport along with playing dominos. The family would like to give a special mention to his cousin, Edna Beckham, who was just like a daughter for her faithful visits during his long term illness. Also, thank you to Dr. Larry Skelton, doctor and staff at the V. A. Medical Center and Moundville Health and Rehab. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Moundville Baptist Church, 150 5th Ave., Moundville, AL 35474.
