Truman Hall

Tuscaloosa - Truman L. (The Can Man) Hall, age 89, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away July 31, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL. Truman was born June 3rd, 1929, to the late Robert Lee Hall and Trudie Essie Hall.
Truman was a long-time member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He served twenty-one months in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1953. He retired as a Psychiatric Aid III from Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala. in 1977 having been employed there for 28 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Avery and Pam Duncan; his son, J. Lawrence Hall (Lori); grandchildren, Wyndi Avery, Mark Avery (Darralee), Chelsea Hall, Paige Hall and Brandi Benecke (Thomas); and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Hall and Trudie Essie Hall; his brother, Curtis Lee Hall; and his sister, Sara Nell Smith.
The funeral service will be Thursday August 2nd, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South, Tuscaloosa. The visitation will be Thursday August 2nd, 2018, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary McCracken, Mark Avery, Scotty Winters, Gabriel Winters, Ron Prewitt and Justin Jarrell.
Honorary Pallbearers are members of Shiloh Baptist Church, DCH Regional Medical Center 7th Floor South Nurses, the staff of Hospice of West Alabama, and his physicians; Dr. Aldridge, Dr. Jones, Dr. Winfield, Dr. Alilonu and Dr. Shah.
Pastor David Mills will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing.
