Travis Taylor

Travis Christopher Taylor, age 48, of Buhl, Alabama received his ultimate healing on Thursday January 23, 2025. His celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday January 30, 2025, at Northport Church of God with Pastor Greg Strickland officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Travis was preceded in death by his Grandparents Gene and Faye Johnson, and Grandfather Elbert Taylor. Survivors include: his beloved wife, Tracey Taylor, Daughters Ana Taylor, Victoria Shelton (Carter), Peyton Newell, and Brooklyn Taylor, Parents David and Anne Taylor, Brother Nathan Taylor (Wynona), Grandchildren Maddie, Haiden, Brynleigh, Riverleigh, and Kolton, Grandmother Ruth Gaddy Houdashelt, Ex-Wife Karen Lake, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Travis was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on October 24, 1976. He grew up in Gordo, Alabama where he developed many strong friendships, as well as a love for football and the outdoors. He was a man of very few words but had a heart of gold! He enjoyed the simple things in life like riding dirt roads on his side by side or sitting on his front porch with the radio on watching his grand babies play. Friends often said he would give anyone the shirt off of his back and not think twice about it or that he was the one you could call day or night and he would be there.

Travis was a devoted husband, a loving father, and the greatest Paw T his grandchildren could ask for. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Pallbearers include Michael Beard, Carter Shelton, TJ Faulkner, Gene Fletcher, Kyle Aycock, and Fredrick Pelt.

Honorary Pallbearers include the owners and employees of REV Construction, UAB 6th Floor Critical Care Unit, and Dr. Arti Pandey.
