Travis Connell

Travis Connell, age 85, of Coker, Ala., passed away March 16, 2025 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Magnolia Chapel North with Rev. David Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Calcedonia Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Ann Lewis Connell; parents, Doc and Virgie Connell; brothers, Preston, Grover, Artis, Bud, and Billy Joe; sisters, Willie May Brunner, Nell Greer, June Watkins, Evelyn Brunner, and Onita Boothe.

Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Croft (Jamie); son, Dewayne Connell (Carol); grandchildren, Kristen Cherry (Triston), Zack Connell, Megan Hughes (Daniel), Cody Connell, Hunter "Blade" Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Kyle Hughes, Kylie Hughes, Mac Cherry, and Millie Cherry.

Travis was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved the Lord and had retired from over 50 years as a minister. He worked with multiple companies over his life building bridges all over Alabama and Georgia.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Croft, Kyle Hughes, Daniel Morris, Cody Connell, Zack Connell, and Rick Pugh.

Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, and Dr. Stephen Browne.
