Theodore Loyd Parker

Ted L. Parker, age 66, of Northport, Alabama, passed away November 21, 2023 at Northport Medical Center. Visitation will be 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Magnolia Chapel North. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Williamson Cemetery in Northport with Rev. John Jenkins officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Merle Parker and Mary Evelyn Parker; wife, Linda J. Parker; sister, Debbie Parker; and brother, David Parker.

Survivors include his daughter, Carly Parker; son, Nolan Parker; sisters, Liz Preston, Theda Lucian, and Dianna Fonda (Scott); fiancée, Melissa Beams; nephews, Eric Preston (Cristie), Matt Roark, and Travis Roark; nieces, Laura Simpson (Darreld), Tiffany Pisaneschi, and Catrina Larson; great-nephews, Elijah Pisaneschi, Levi and Logan Simpson; great-nieces, Kaitlyn Simpson, Aura Brooks, and Cora Preston; and beloved pets, Gypsy and Lucy.

Ted was born in Columbus, Kansas where he attended Fort Scott Community College then went to Missouri Southern college. Ted met the love of his life, Linda J. Parker, and moved down to Tuscaloosa. He worked for BF Goodrich for 35 years before retiring. His favorite things were trout fishing at Roaring River, and watching his favorite football team, Oklahoma Sooners. If you ever met him, he loved to talk and visit with people.  He will be missed dearly by all that knew him.

Pallbearers will be Larry Davis, Phillip Gilliland, Thomas Davis, Justin Beams, Glenn Crow, and Dalton Harbin.

Honorary pallbearers are former employees of BF Goodrich.
