Terry Holemon

Terry was born on July 7,1957 in Owosso, Michigan. When he was eight years old Terry moved to Alabama with his family and lived out his life in the Brownville Community. Terry was a sweet child and was always smiling. He began working in the logging woods when he was just a teenager. After retiring from the woods, he went to work at Brown Wood Preserving where he worked for the last 16 years. At the age of 47, Terry began his most important work, becoming a living testimony for Jesus. He experienced many hard times in his life but did not let that hinder the love and compassion he showed to others. He was always willing to help anyone at any time, being the hands and feet of Jesus. Terry grew up in a close family full of love. He was depended upon greatly and always came through. In recent years he was a devoted caregiver for his sweet mother, who he loved so much. He kept her smiling and laughing and appreciated every minute spent with her. Terry loved his family deeply and made sure they knew it. He was especially proud of his granddaughter, Haley. Terry was an active member of Bethabara Baptist Church. He taught Sunday School, VBS and led many souls to the Lord. Terry had a servant’s heart and loved his church family as his own. Our sorrow is great, but we are filled with hope and look forward to a joyful reunion one day.

Terry is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Holemon and brother, Timmy Holemon.

He is survived by his precious mother, Jessie Holemon, son, Arlis (Christy) Holemon, sister, Belinda Miles, brother, Larry (Sharon) Holemon, granddaughter, Haley Holemon, nephews, Casey Miles, Allen Winters, nieces, Melody (Ronald) Lunceford, Tabatha (Jonathon) Price, Jauleia Winters, Lynn Harbin, great nieces, Mallory Miles, Destin Freeman, great nephew, Trace Freeman, and many other loving family and friends.
