Survivors include her husband, Jerry Koster; her sons, Jerry "Bud" Koster (Michelle) and David Koster (Patricia); her sister, Shirley Goodson (Tommie); Joe and Peggy Pritchett and Lamar and Sue Hamner, who were just like her brothers and sisters; her grandchildren, Mallory Koster Cantrell (Zach) and Lauren Koster (Brandon Calhoun); the sunshine of her life, her great-grandchildren Will Cantrell and Noah Calhoun; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She and Jerry first met when she was 14 years old and he was 15 years old. They dated until he was 18 and she was 17. They were married October 6, 1961. To this union came two sons. She was a godly pastor's wife who traveled almost every mile ministering with her husband - from hospitals and nursing homes to sick and shut-ins, and at churches for the past 39 years including Pondville Baptist, Eastern Gate Baptist, Elrod Baptist, and at Community Baptist Church in Moundville for the past 25 years. She touched many lives and hearts and changed many diapers. Her ministry in the church included teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and serving as Church Clerk. At the time of her death, she was the Benevolent Treasurer and Nursery Director. She served in many capacities, but her true calling was loving and teaching babies in her nursery class so parents could be in class or worship. Her latest babies were Ally Brooke Payne, Logan Livingston, and her big baby girl, Christy LaFoy. Our loss is Heaven's gain.
