Sue Montgomery

Sue Holloway Montgomery, age 76, of Northport, Ala., went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2018. Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Bethabara Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Montgomery and Bro. Kevin Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Winters Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Magnolia North.

She was born February 1, 1942 to Nason and Irene Holloway. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leck Holloway, J.B. Holloway, Pud Holloway and Junior Holloway; and sister, Ruby Thrasher.

Survivors include her brother and sisters, Jet Holeman, Duell Holloway (Anglyn), Tootsie Sullivan (Arnold); honorary sister, Jane Freeman; children, Vince Montgomery (Tracy), Rex Montgomery, Ryan McGraw (Shana) and Dee McGraw Hickey (Dan); grandchildren, Paige Burke (Chris), Cody Montgomery, Caleb Montgomery (Danielle), Jake Montgomery, Houston Montgomery, Garett Montgomery, Mary Grace Montgomery, Luke Hickey and Rylan McGraw; great-grandchildren, Kohner, Ava and Grayson; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was a faithful member of Bethabara Baptist Church. She spent her life serving the Lord and sharing that faith with the community. If you met her once she was considered your mother, grandmother or aunt.

Pallbearers will be Jim Barnes, Jeff Holloway, Kenny Holloway, Keith Aldridge, Sammy Moore, Phil Edmonds, Larry Rogers and Terry Holemon.

Honorary pallbearers are the Brownville Community, Bethabara Baptist Church, Dr. Isabel Oldshue and former staff, Dr. Benuri and staff, Billie Acker, Crimson Internal Medicine, Joe McNurrin and staff.
