Stephen Foster Pool NORTHPORT | Stephen Foster Pool, age 36, of Northport, died recently. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Valley View Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Joy and Dr. James Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, jack and Moda Pool, Auston and Ruby Hannah, and his brother, William Kenneth Pool. Survivors include the mother of his children, Genia Friery George; stepdaughters, Jamey LaGrone and Cheyanne Friery; son, Colby Pool; stepsons, James LaGrone, Dustin LaGrone and Blade Scott; sister, Dana Oswalt (Phillip) of Northport; brother, Brad Pool (Michele) of Thorsby; and parents, Ronald and Kaye Pool. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and Alabama football fan. He loved taking his kids hunting, fishing and tubing on Lake Tuscaloosa. Pallbearers will be Mike Collins, David Ballard, Dale Rowland, James LaGrone, Dustin LaGrone, Colton Pool, Todd Richardson, Nick Richardson, and Jamie Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are family members, TCHS Class of 1996, employees at R & D Maintenance Services, Inc., past and present employees of Northport Fire & Rescue, employees of Mid-States Asphalt / ABH Enterprises, past and present employees of Northport Health Services, members of Valley view Baptist Church, and friends of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations for life hunts be sent to BADF WFE Hunts, 10540 Daystar Drive, Tuscaloosa, Al 35405 or the ALS Foundation in memory of his Paw Paw Jack Pool
