Shirley May Watkins TUSCALOOSA - Shirley May Watkins, age 72, of Tuscaloosa, died January 12, 2016, at home. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Reverend Leonard Hill officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Juanita Rice and Sisters; Faye Hinkle and JoAnn Rice. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Bradley Watkins of Northport, Ala.; daughters, Melissa Lynn Ramsey (Randal), Melinda Leigh Edwards (Richard Guy) of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Tracy Renee Watkins; sister, Jessie Marie Jones; brother, Ron Rice and Rowland Howell; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Shirley was a special lady. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother that was loved by all. Honorary pallbearers are Caroline Abernathy, UMC Medical Center, residents and staff of Clara Verner Towers, Dr. Kamal, Jimmy Sue Hill, Bobby and Carol Owen and Donald and Freta Robertson.
