Shirley Coker ECHOLA | Shirley Coker, age 73, of Echola, died March 6, 2014, at home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Dunns Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Alfred Banks officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Avis Ousley; brothers, Bill, Bob, and Jimmy Ousley; and son, Mark Coker. Survivors include her husband, Charles Coker; daughter, Susan Banks (Alfred); sons, Shane (Ashley) and Shannon (Kim); sisters, Joyce Mills (Johnny) and Hilma Kelly (Vester); grandchildren, Courtney, Amanda, Adam (Haleigh) Banks; and Jordan, Grayson, Carson, Carly and Lauren Coker. Mrs. Coker was born March 15, 1940 and married Charles June 6, 1959. She was a loving wife, mother, and Mama who enjoyed gardening, traveling, fishing and singing. She never met a stranger, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Pallbearers will be Tim Frazier and Jason Coker and her grandsons, Adam Banks, Jordan Coker, Grayson Coker and Carson Coker. Honorary pallbearers are caregivers, Gail Duncan and Elaine Brown, Southern Care Hospice, friends and neighbors of Echola and surrounding communities, Coker's Body Shop employees, Beth Branyon, the Coker family, Buhl Baptist Church, Dunns Creek Baptist Church, Gail and Jean Ousley, Hayes family, special canine companion Blossom, and Tim and Melissa Frazier family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Southern Care Hospice, ASPCA, or the charity of one's choice .
