Sherry Windle

Sherry Ann Windle, age 69, of Northport, Alabama, passed away September 18, 2024 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North with Rev. Jonathan Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Ralph, Alabama with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Magnolia Chapel North.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James O. Ellis and Betty J. Butler; and brother, J. Ronald Ellis.

Survivors include her husband, David Windle; daughters, Valerie Davis (Allen), and Erin Byars (Wesley); son, Hunter Windle (Rachel); sister, Pat Nabors; and grandchildren, Cody Davis, Savannah Davis Doerr, Halyn Davis, Kaley Matthews, Braden Davis, Brinley Matthews, Colton Matthews, and Parker Windle.

Sherry was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and became a master gardener after retirement. She was an active longtime member of Christ Harbor Church where she taught ladies Sunday School and lead small groups for many years. She loved to birdwatch from her back patio and enjoy God’s creation. She loved Atlanta Braves baseball and Alabama Football, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family. Sherry was known for her kind heart. She was the heart and soul of her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Craig Windle, Hunter Windle, Cody Davis, Braden Davis, Hunter Doerr, and Ronnie Gregory.
