Sherry Gann

Sherry Lynn Gann, age 62, of Northport, AL. was received into the arms of our Savior November 27, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. Services will be Friday, December 1, 2017 at Flatwoods Baptist Church in Northport. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Bro. Albert Lyles. She is preceded in death by parents, Reba Black Rushing and James Bernard Rushing, brother, Jackie Bernard Rushing, sister in law, JoAnn Rushing, and husband, Stephen Ray Gann. Survivors include daughters Ashley Rogers (Mitch) of Collinsville, MS. and Lauren Karcher (Austin) of Chelsea, AL. brother, Glenn Rushing (Connie) of Northport, AL. nephew, James Rushing (Lauren) of Northport, AL. niece, Teri Grantham (Charles) of Northport, AL. and 4 grandchildren, Stephen, Jordan, Ella, and Abel. Lynn was born October 9, 1955 in Northport, AL. She was a woman of great faith who entrusted her life to the Lord. She was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church where she served in many roles. She retired after 40 years of service from Bryce Hospital as a Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor. She was selfless, kind, and a good friend to many. An amazing mom and MiMi who will be greatly missed. She was truly one of a kind. Pallbearers include Randy Clark, Charles Grantham, Austin Karcher, Nick Knight, Tommy Knight, Connie Oswalt, Mitch Rogers, and James Rushing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
