Shella Shiann Norris

Shella Shiann Norris of Cottondale, Alabama passed away on September 22, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 2:00 pm  at Magnolia Chapel South with Rev. Michael Griffin and Rev. Clay Womble and Rev. Jim Headley officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the chapel.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Samuel Grady and Betty Mae Thomas Johnson.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years Lawrence E. (Larry) Norris, daughter; Shelia Noelle Norris, son; Neil L. Norris, sister; Martha Green and Bessie Boothe, brother; James Thomas, Bill Thomas and John Thomas.

Shiann was a life long resident of Tuscaloosa County and an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member and a leader of the women's prayer group. She was also a member of The Gideon Auxiliary and a board member of  Wings of Grace. She was always active in her church, her children's youth activity and helping others where she could.

Pallbearers will be James Thomas, Bill Thomas, John Thomas, Eldridge Stewart, Farley Green III, and Glenn Boothe.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Gideons International, Food for the Hungry, Ridgecrest Baptist Church building fund or Wings of Grace.
