Sharon Denise “Necie” Hall, age 67, of Coker, Ala., passed away December 12, 2022 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2022, at Arbor Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Ted Sessoms officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Loona Beams Hall; and stepmother, Coleen Lunceford Hall.
Survivors include her sisters, Wanda H. Pate (Baxter) and Felecia H. Gilliam (Rodney); brother, Phillip R. Hall (Ann); aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Sixty-seven years ago, on October 1st, a very special baby was born. We didn’t realize how special until Necie just wouldn’t talk and Mom and Dad had her tested. They found that she had special needs, but that didn’t change things for Mom and Dad. They embraced this adorable, special child and began their journey. Necie was contagious with her smile and laughter. She wanted to do everything the rest of us kids were doing. Our friends accepted her as part of the group. They never excluded her from any games we were playing. If they went swimming, Necie went. She loved riding her bicycle and visiting the neighbors. She had a memory like no other. If you had a dog and she saw you 5 years later, she would ask you how Spot was doing. She loved church and Jesus. She would always come home and say she “got saved today”. She always loved going to the altar. She had that simple child-like faith. After Mom passed away, Necie went to Davis Group Home where she lived for about 15 years. Glendie Davis was her caregiver and she loved her like a mom. When Glendie passed away, she went to Eagles Wings where she lived up until her death. Necie loved her home at Eagles Wings. They loved and ushered her into the arms of Jesus.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Jarett Hall, Wade Smith, Bradley Alexander, Mark Smith, Brennan Gay, Jaxon McCullough, and Todd Oswalt.
Jr. Pallbearers are Lathan, Wesley, Brayden, Ben, Cash, Colt, Gavin, Bennett, and Rhett.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Eagles Wings, Jerry and Sandra Pike, Hospice of West Alabama, doctors, nurses, and staff of Northport Medical Center ICU Unit and 1st Floor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eagles Wings.
