Sharon Deerman

Sharon D. Deerman, age 56, of Tuscaloosa, died Aug. 18, 2011, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Taylorville Baptist Church with Dr. Curtis Kelly and Ben Jameson officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar O. Deerman. Survivors include her mother, Ouida E. Deerman of Tuscaloosa; and sister, Sherri D. Knowles (Richard) of Cullman. She was employed by Dunkin's Pharmacy. She graduated from Holt High School in 1972 and retired from Gayfers. Pallbearers will be Barton Drane, Anthony Pearson, Robby Robertson, Mark Cook, David Miller, and Greg Marcum. Honorary pallbearers are Bruce and Sharron Dunkin, employees and customers of Dunkin's Pharmacy, members of Taylorville Baptist Church, Dr. Jennifer Burdette, Dr. John Dubay and DCH Cancer Center, neighbors of Weatherby Garden Homes, and employees of Amedisys Hospice of Tuscaloosa.
