Sarah Falls

Sarah Agnes Falls, 78, of Elrod, Alabama died January 12, 2019. Services will be Wednesday, January 16 at Carolwood Freewill Baptist Church in Northport. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the service will be at noon with Rev. Jerry Montgomery and Rev. Glenn Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Afra Miles, sister Dorothy Patrick and great grandson, Jacob Wayne Falls.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dewey Richard Falls; children, Mike Falls (Virginia), Susie Black (Gary), Lisa Beech (Matt), Kathy Colburn (Ken) and Rick Falls; grandchildren, Wes Falls (Britani), Brad Falls (Heidi), Stephen Black, Sara Black, Max Andrews (Alex), Thomas Andrews, Forrest Andrews, Brice Beech, Shelby Doggett (Seth), Justin Beech, Tristan Beech, Tyler Colburn (Michelle), Tanner Colburn, Karlie Colburn, Amber Barton (Chris), and Morgan Falls; great-grandchildren, Will Falls, John Dewey Falls, John Weston Barton, Remi Jane Barton, Josie Doggett, Harper Doggett, Bexley Drew Barton due April 2019, Gray Bradley Falls due April 2019 and baby Colburn due July 2019; sisters, May Swindle and Martha Blake; brothers, Jack Miles, Larry Miles and Bill Miles.

Pallbearers will be Wes Falls, Brad Falls, Stephen Black, Max Andrews, Thomas Andrews, Forrest Andrews, Tyler Colburn, Tanner Colburn and Chris Barton.

Honorary pallbearers are Tina Hope, Dr. John Dubay, Jo Anne Miller, CRNP and staff, Hospice of West Alabama, RISE Center staff and members of Carolwood Freewill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Falls, affectionately known as "Memaw", was a retired bus driver for the Tuscaloosa County School System. She spent many years caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of West Alabama, the Rise Center or Carolwood Freewill Baptist Church cemetery fund.
