Mrs. Sarah S. Crocker

September 26, 1929 – September 2, 2019

Mrs. Sarah Stephens Crocker, age 89 of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019.

Mrs. Crocker is preceded in death by her parents, Reverend J. J. Stephens and Annie Maude Stephens; her husband, Charles Eugene Crocker; brother, Silas Stephens; sisters, Annie Mae Neill and Mary Butler. She retired at age 70 from Gayfers/Dillard’s Department Store, after a 20 year career in sales. She was a member of North Griffin Congregational Holiness Church in Griffin, GA; attended First Assembly of God and Englewood Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Al.

Survivors include her sons and their spouses, Phillip and Deanna Crocker, Chuck and Dawn Crocker; grandchildren, Cade Crocker, Shelbi Crocker; brother and sister-in-law, Eddie Frank and Glenda Stephens; sister, Doris Hollingsworth; sister-in-law, Marie Stephens; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don and Betty Crocker, Magdalene Crocker and Patsy Langford; numerous nieces and nephews.

Your prayers were heard, you longed to go Home and that prayer was answered. Into the loving arms of your Lord and Savior and your United States Marine whom you cared for until his end-of-watch as your husband, our father, father-in-law and granddad. Absent from the body is present with the Lord!

Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her - Proverbs 31:28

A visitation will be Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandson and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Hospice of West Alabama or Caring Days of Tuscaloosa Adult Daycare.

The family will have a visitation and it will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 2:00-4:00p.m. at family home in Tusaloosa, Alabama.
