Sandra Overton

Sandra Jo Krebs Overton NORTHPORT Sandra Jo Krebs Overton, age 65, of Northport, died October 14, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Arbor Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Sessoms and Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Sandra was preceded in death by her father Francis (Frank) Krebs. Sandra is survived by her mother, Mildred Krebs Capps; her husband, James David (J.D.) Overton; her daughter, Donna Overton Shanholtzer (Phil); her son, David Overton (Leslie); four grandchildren, Nicholas Overton, Heather Overton, Matthew Shanholtzer, and Mallory Shanholtzer. Sandra is also survived by her siblings, Mike Krebs, Mark Krebs (Gina), Joe Krebs (Phylecia), Frankie Krebs, and Annette Cash (Garland) as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Sandra was loved so much by her family and she will be greatly missed. She was an active member of Arbor Springs Baptist Church for several years where she played the organ. Sandra loved gardening, painting, and spending time with her grandkids. Oh how sweet heaven must be with her there. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Overton, Matthew Shanholtzer, Wallace Lowery, Garland Cash, Gene Oswalt, Lynn Watkins, Randy Freeman, and Mike Hamm. Honorary pallbearers are the doctors and nursing staff on the cancer floor of DCH, the staff at Hospice of West Alabama, and the members of Arbor Springs Baptist Church.
