Sandra Allen

Faye Allen, age 78, of Northport, Alabama, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Faye was born April 2, 1943 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Homer and Laura Carpenter. She was a graduate of Eutaw High school and participated in the Glee Club, Beta Club and many more. She also enjoyed being a majorette and being able to cheer on her football team.

She attended Judson College and then transferred to The University of Alabama to graduate with a degree in home economics. After college, she went on to marry to her high school sweetheart, Zeke Allen. They had 3 children: Shannon, Lea, and Jered. She worked several different jobs and retired from the Greene County Health Department.

In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Zeke Allen and her son, Jered Allen.

Faye is survived by her daughters, Shannon (John) Zagar, and Lea (Bryan) Faulkner; her grandchildren, Alexis (Sam) Elkins, Dylan Puckett, Cole Puckett, Cody Faulkner, Gracie Zagar, and Jilly (Paul) Coker; her brother Homer (Liz) Carpenter. She is also survived by her great-grandson Cade Elkins and a large, loving extended family.

Her favorite hobbies included traveling, knitting, reading, and sitting outside on her back porch. Faye loved, more than anything, to spend time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger, and she was a great role model for her children and grandchildren. She was a compassionate woman of God who lived a Christian life, and was the most loving and caring woman.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lewiston, Alabama. Visitation will be from 11:00am-12:00pm with a service to follow.
