Ryan Andrew Channell BERRY - Ryan Andrew Channell, age 28, of Berry, died January 16, 2016. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Reggie Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Arbor Springs Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy and Bittie Gooch and Andrew and Annie Channell. Survivors include his parents, Stancel and Bobbie (Gooch) Channell; sister, Shanna (Channell) Lee; brother, Jason Channell; and nephew, Conner James Lee. Ryan loved the Lord, his family and music. His young nephew and best buddy, Conner, (who he called ""Little Britches"") would lay on the floor listening to Ryan play his guitar and sing his favorite country and gospel songs (especially Johnny Cash). He liked watching old movies with his mom and sister and playing the guitar with his dad. Everyone who met the man his mother called her ""Gentle Giant"" loved him and will miss him dearly. Pallbearers will be Billy Hallo, Marcus Middlebrooks, Anthony Middlebrooks, Cody Gooch, Joaby Campbell and Jeffrey Chandler. Honorary pallbearers are our loyal customers of The Tuscaloosa News in Samantha.
