Ruby Burt

MOUNDVILLE - Ruby Johnson "Trixie"� Burt, age 79, of Moundville, Alabama, died September 28, 2017. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2017, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Spence and Rev. Bill Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Flat Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwaine Burt; and brother, Houston Johnson. Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Morgan (Malcolm) and Melinda Davis (Danny); son, Hugh Burt (Bonnie); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was born on November 11, 1937 to Foster and Ruby Johnson. God gave us a wonderful mother. Her smile of sunshine and a heart of pure gold. She showered us with kindness and a life of unconditional love. Her life was devoted to God, family and friends. Pallbearers will be Dannie Spence, Ken Ryan, Keith McCray, Jeff Makemson, David Duncan and Mike Peacock. Honorary pallbearers are Barbara Hallman, Betty Duncan, Edna Cook, Dr. Larry Skelton and staff, Alan Harland, employees of the Bank of Moundville, friends and neighbors of the community of Pine Flat, Pleasant Hill and Englewood Baptist Churches.
