Graveside service will be 12 noon, Friday, April 10, 2015, at Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Fayette County, with Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be held tonight, April 9, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.B. Swindle and Vina Duncan; husband, William Watkins; siblings, Cecil Swindle, Angie Mitchell, and Armond Swindle; and great-grandchild, Brooklyn Mills. Survivors include her children, Rose Collins (Lance), Mark ""Poke"" Watkins, and Maria Arrington (Xavier); grandchildren, Ashley Mills (Tony), Cody Collins (Tara), and Brooke Watkins; great-grandchild, Noah Mills; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Watkins; and siblings, James ""Possum"" Swindle (Lisa), Hilda Oswalt, Sonya Swindle, Georgiana Winters (Gerald), Jackie Spence (Toby), and Karen Swindle. She was the prime example of giving all, despite coming from little. She was a woman, who went by many names, (""Mawmaw,"" ""Rosalie,"" ""Piderman,"" ""Beh Fren,"" ""Granny Frog""), but the love remained constant throughout the changes. Mama, you were the most ""special"" woman to ever have been in our presence. You absolutely devoted your entire self to your children and grandchildren; never thinking of yourself. We know you were tired of hurting; we just needed you here a little longer. You will be missed more than humanly imaginable. We love you bunches! Your kids and grandbabies can't wait to see you again. XOXO Pallbearers will be Lance Collins, Xavier Arrington, Cody Collins, Donnie Oswalt, Jody Swindle, Tony Mills, Cole Bright, and Brandon West. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Beth Western, Dr. Sakina Kamal, Tuscaloosa Nephrology Group, Lynn Sexton, and John and Terri Tinklepaugh.
