Ronald Higginbotham

Ronald D. Higginbotham, age 73 of Tuscaloosa, passed away February 10, 2025 at home. Services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Magnolia Chapel South with Bro. Charles Mozley officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

He is preceded in death by his wife Debra Higginbotham, granddaughter; Kameryn Aleese Gore, and his parents; Jim and Faye Lowery.

He is survived by his children; Angela H. Albright (Brian), Ronnie N. Higginbotham (Tina), Angie Jones, Scottie Jones (Wells), sister; Jackie Wells, grandchildren; Alyssa Gore, Sydney Higginbotham, Tessa Higginbotham, Regan Huey (Tyler), Dawson Albright (Leah), Caleb Jones (Martha), Megan Granger (Gabriel), great grandchildren; Jackson and Blakely Huey, Wesley Albright, Wilder and Stratton Granger, Jackson and Luke Jones, great great grandchildren; Miller Park, Collins Jones and  his beloved dog Reece and special friend Sybil Tyner.

Ronald loved the outdoors, duck hunting, and he was happiest grilling for and hosting family and friends. He worked for Bama Concrete for for 25 years and was the owner of Roebuck Landing Grocery and Bait for 12 years. He also hosted U.S. Forrest Service Camp for 9 years. One thing that gave him so much joy in life was holding a crawfish boil, cooking and entertaining, he was the Best host. His best friend Reece never left his side.

Pallbearers will be Steve Lowery, Dave Bonner, Mike Spivey, Danny Thornton, Brad Thornton, Woody Howell, and Derek Thornton. Honorary pallbearers will be U.S. Forrest Service, Sandra Garner, Dustin Beatty, Nick Lovoy, and Nickie Hammonds.
