Ronald A. Baxter COKER - Ronald A. Baxter, age 72, of Coker, passed from this life September 3, 2016, at Forest Manor Nursing Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2016, at Northport Church of Christ with visitation one hour prior to services. Kerry Richardson will be conducting the service. Burial will follow in Memory Hills Gardens with a family graveside service with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeremy Todd Baxter; parents, Morris and Hazel Baxter; and sisters, Jeanne Baxter and Jo Carol Mays. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Baxter; sons, Jim Baxter (Cindy) and Johnny Baxter (Tara); grandchildren, Anna Kate Baxter and John Wesley Baxter; step grandchildren, Rachael Robert Harper and Michael Robert (Unica); six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Arnie Sanford, Kevin Peak, Michael Wiggins, Michael Robert, Joshua Wiggins and Matthew Booth. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Northport Church of Christ Mission Fund.
