On August 13, 2015 God called home the most patient, kind, and loving son, brother, husband, and father. He was born on August 15, 1956 and spent most of his life residing in Coker, Alabama. In his high school years he was known as Mr. County High and was a friend to many in this community. He worked over 26 years at the University of Alabama in the SeeBeck Computer Center. Most any football Saturday he could be seen cheering for the Crimson Tide. Most any school year you could find him participating in fundraising events. He retired in 2008 when God gave him his greatest challenge. He took a life changing event and made it a testimony to God's love and endurance. He leaves behind a family, who loves him dearly, friends with many fun stories to share, and a faith that one day we will see him again. Pallbearers will be Glen Crow, Mike Hannah, Tom Case, Sam Callaway, Robert Leonard and David Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Debra Davis, M.D., DCH Nursing Leadership and Members of Five Points Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mount Olive Voluntary Fire Department.
