Rodney Snyder

Rodney Wood (Bo) Snyder COKER - Rodney (Bo) Wood Snyder, age 55, of Coker, died December 16, 2016, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Snyder; wife, Sherry Snyder; and grandparents. Survivors include his sister, Susan Idiles of Duncanville, Ala.; brother, Rick Snyder (Rose) of Coker, Ala.; and mother, Billie Sue Snyder of Coker, Ala. Bo graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1979. He later joined the U.S. Navy and served eight years. He worked at Mutual Insurance in Birmingham for eight years. Bo was ordained as minister at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church. Bo was a godly man. He loved his family and friends. He was always willing to help anybody in any way he could. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers Joei Griffin and Mary Bailey. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Winters, Ricky Wallace, James South, Hamilton Guin, Butch Cook, Brad Snyder, Shane Kelly and Skyler Kelly. Honorary pallbearers are Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church, friends of Coker, Hospice of West Alabama and North River Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to Hospice of West Alabama.
